Behind the Georgian façade of Guildford crescent is one of Cardiff’s favourite restaurants. The Thai house is made up of several old terrace properties that now form a maze of rooms on various levels.
The brief for this refurbishment project was to modernise the restaurant while retaining the popular atmosphere and Thai influence of the existing interior.
Resisting wholesale changes, the approach was to concentrate on replacing specific fixtures and introduce a select palate of colours and textures and then highlight these with an improved lighting.
An additional room which was rarely used has now become popular as a venue for private functions.
