The Church of God is within the Pontcanna conservation area in Cardiff. The building is used regularly by the Church itself as well as mother and toddler groups and the local community.
An extension to the rear adds a community room and toilets. The existing church has been completely refurbished including the main hall; a new kitchen and baptistery. Incorporated are new windows, doors and a new roof with clearstory glazing.
Rooflights have been used extensively since this compact site allowed little opportunity to included windows within the external walls.
Access and facilities throughout have been upgraded to comply with the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA). This complex urban site also required negotiation with several adjoining owners with regard party wall agreements.
